Day 2 - The Values Compass

Welcome to Day 2! Today, we present "The Values Compass," an exercise designed to help you navigate the complexities of life. Your core values are the guiding principles that dictate your behavior and actions.

Objective:

To create a dynamic and interactive map of your core values, helping you align your daily actions and decisions with what truly matters to you.

Duration:

20-30 minutes

Materials Needed:

  • A large sheet of paper or a digital drawing tool
  • Colored markers or pens
  • Stickers or icons (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Sit in a quiet space where you can focus. Place your large sheet of paper in front of you and gather your colored markers.
  2. Identify Core Values: Think about the values that are most important to you (e.g., family, honesty, freedom, etc.). Write these down in the center of your paper, each in a different color.
  3. Life Areas: Around each core value, write down the different areas of your life where this value plays a significant role (e.g., work, relationships, personal growth).
  4. Action Points: For each life area, jot down specific actions or behaviors that reflect your core value. Use stickers or icons to make it more interactive.
  5. Challenges & Solutions: Think about the challenges you face in living these values and potential solutions. Write these near the corresponding life area.
  6. Connect the Dots: Draw lines to connect related values, life areas, and actions. This will help you see the interconnectedness of your values in your life.
  7. Reflection: Take a step back and look at your Values Compass. Does it align with how you're currently living your life? What adjustments can you make?

Follow-up:

  • Keep your Values Compass in a place where you can see it daily.
  • Update it regularly as you make progress or as your values evolve.
